The position and responsibilities you are assuming is as a Porter for our community. The Porter assists our residents, housekeeping team and all other departments as needed to relocate item or remove recycling and trash. You are to hold a high standard for the cleanliness of our community.

Essential FUnctions

Assists Residents with packages, groceries and more as needed.

Empties all trash/recycle daily.

Delivers mail packages to residents and employees.

Sets up for special functions as needed.

Maintains common areas and according to schedule or as needed including but not limited to:

Transportation: Drives community vehicles to and from required destinations, safely and according to schedule. Assists residents in and out of vehicles safely, as well as escort in and out of buildings.

Promptly reports any concerns regarding safe and proper functioning of equipment or vehicles to supervisor.

Performs routine maintenance tasks between scheduled transportation as directed by the Plant Operations Manager.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Consistently reports to work on-time and completes scheduled shifts
  • Adaptable and willing to change in order to ensure success
  • Attends education and training classes as necessary to fulfill state regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Operations Manager

Qualifications

· No experience required.

· CPR and First Aid certified.

· Maintains current and appropriate driver’s license and safe driving record.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.

· Ability to solve practical problems.

· Ability to prioritize and organize assignments

Physical Demands and Requirements

  • Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items.
  • Must also be able to walk throughout campus on frequent basis for extended periods of time. (Up to seven hours)
  • Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous daily activities.

  • Weekends as needed
  • Weekends only
