Dining Room Server/Kitchen Assistant

Job Details

We are looking for a cheerful, optimistic, creative, organized, and motivated person who loves to enrich the lives of seniors.

• Necessary characteristics and skills for this position include: presenting a professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, reliability, excellent verbal communications abilities, high standard of ethics and integrity, and creativity in carrying out community activities.

This position is for an independent worker who will take the lead in encouraging resident participation and have sensitivity to the resident's individual needs, as well as be a team player who loves to collaborate and jump into the action!

Shift Info: Wednesday 9am-4:30pm. This position will also be on call for the Life Enrichment and Reception teams. There are also opportunities for on call with our Transportation team.

Job Duties:

• Lead a variety of activities for residents (example: Bingo, cooking + baking, dancing, arts + crafts)
• Event planning (seasonal celebrations, parties and more!)
• Transporting residents to and from fun events!
• Encourage resident participation
• Snack preparation
• And more!

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior housing a plus!
• Previous experience working with seniors experiencing dementia is a plus, but not required!
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to pass any pre-employment verifications as needed.
