The Springs at Clackamas Woodsseeks a Director of Food and Beverage Serviceswith a blend of culinary talent and leadership/management skills. In our effort to provide dynamic and excellent customer service to our residents and families, we recognize that high-quality food and dining service is a top priority.
Responsibilities Include:
  • The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for working hand in hand with our Executive Director and Executive Chef to create a positive, professional, and successful dining program.
  • This position will oversee our Executive Chef and their team in the back of the house and our Assistant Dining Room Managers and front of house.
  • If you are a self-starter committed to scratch cooking, seasonal menus, farm-to-table sourcing, and outstanding guest service, we would love to share our vision with you.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience is preferred: responsibilities should include production, menu development, and purchasing in a variety of cuisines.
  • At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a dining and/or culinary environment
  • Proven track record of progressive, successful management and supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of food safety & sanitation practices, workplace safety culture
  • Catering experience a plus
  • A background in nutrition, special diets, and altered food textures is a plus but not required
  • Love for seniors and willingness to learn
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing
  • Established assessment and decision-making skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills. Has the ability to set priorities, organize time, demonstrate initiative, and work independently
  • Culinary school diploma or degree in Food Service Management preferred
