Job Details
We are looking for a cheerful, optimistic, creative, organized, and motivated person who loves to enrich the lives of seniors. Experience and passion for working with seniors experiencing dementia is a plus!
- Necessary characteristics and skills for this position include: presenting a professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, reliability, excellent verbal communications abilities, high standard of ethics and integrity, and creativity in carrying out community activities.
This position is for an independent worker who will take the lead in encouraging our memory care resident participation and have sensitivity to the resident's individual needs, as well as be a team player who loves to collaborate.
Shift Info: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9am-7:30pm (10 hour shifts)
Job Duties:
- Lead a variety of activities for residents (example: Bingo, cooking + baking, dancing, arts + crafts)
- Event planning (seasonal celebrations, parties and more!)
- Transporting residents to and from fun events!
- Encourage resident participation
- Snack preparation
- And more!
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior housing a plus!
- Previous experience working with seniors is a plus, but not required!
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Ability to pass any pre-employment verifications as needed.
- Driver's license and ability to pass DMV records check is highly preferred. Must be licensed for 5 years.
