Coming Soon! The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. This brand-new community is nothing like you have ever seen, but it is our commitment to compassionate quality care for more than 27 years that is truly distinctive.
Job Description:
The Springs at The Waterfront is currently hiring multiple Prep Cooks to join our new culinary team! Our ideal candidate possesses the perfect blend of personal warmth, and prep cook experience. In our effort to provide dynamic and excellent customer service to our residents and families, we recognize that high quality food and dining service is a priority. The right candidate has a serious commitment to flavorful food, is timely and efficient, willing to learn, personable, and accountable.   • Assists with preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages that are consistently appetizing
  • Assists with assuring that meals are consistently served with attractive presentation
  • Assists with assuring that meals are served punctually
  • Assist with preparation of all meals according to The Springs Living menus and recipes, including for therapeutic or other special diets; specific duties included but are not limited to:
    • Preparing foods for cooking
    • Preparing salads
    • Preparing desserts
  • Stores food correctly, adhering to all related guidelines (i.e. labels, dates, and specifications)
  • Performs all cleaning tasks according to cleaning schedule
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and Director of Food & Beverage
  • Prior experience with prep cooking, with an emphasis in fine dining
  • Passion for quality service
  • Team player
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
Job Type: Full-time
The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Prep Cook position, with an hourly wage range of $17.50-$23.50 depending on experience.
