Coming Soon! The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. This brand-new community is nothing like you have ever seen, but it is our commitment to compassionate quality care for more than 27 years that is truly distinctive.               

Job Description:               

As a Community Relations Assistant, your position is critical to the satisfaction of our residents and to our mission of helping people Live Life to its Fullest. Your primary role is to welcome and direct residents, families, and guests to the community and promote a positive, professional community image. You will assist the Director of Community Relations / sales team with events, tours, and inquiries.

Responsibilities:           

  • Represent the community in welcoming prospective residents, family members, referral sources and the public in a positive, helpful, and caring manner
  • Answer telephone inquiries, meet and qualify prospective residents as needed
  • Schedule tours, prepare and mail community brochures and follow‑up with contacts
  • Inputting information into the database and maintaining all leads
  • Act as backup for conduct tours to demonstrate the services, lifestyle, convenience and benefits of the community
  • Assists in creation sales brochures and ensure each area has an adequate supply
  • Coordinate monthly newsletter mailings to wait list members
  • Order welcome baskets and TSL brand items for gifts
  • Ensure that the marketing area is decorated in a pleasing and professional manner and is clean, safe, and orderly
  • Assures a clean, presentable model suite is maintained
  • Assist with all marketing events for set-up, décor, take-down and hosting
  • Prepare and distribute gifts and note cards for prospects, residents, and community contacts
  • As needed, attend business and community events where referral sources, prospective residents and their advisors are in attendance
  • Maintain accurate records of reserved and occupied apartments to facilitate information exchange with other staff
  • Understand the market area and distinguish our community from other living options
  • Complete competitive analysis as requested or required
  • Understand and demonstrate community mission and philosophy
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters dealing with prospective or current resident information
  • Deal creatively with the needs and desires of the prospective resident in a manner that protects their dignity and allows choice
  • Accomplish sales and marketing goals
  • Carry out the activities delineated in marketing plans in a timely and budget conscious manner
  • Assist other departments in an administrative capacity as time allows

Qualifications:           

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees and the general public
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form
  • Ability to see the big picture for building relationships
  • Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.     

Job Type: Full-time            

Salary: The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Community Relations Coordinator position, with an hourly wage range of $24-$25.50K depending on experience.
