Job Description:
The Springs Living is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our team in McMinnville, OR. As an ideal candidate for this role, you should have experience in CapEx processes and fixed asset management. This position is responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable functions and systems monitoring to ensure company financial policies, procedures and controls are in place, and that vendors are paid accurately and timely.
Primary Purposes:
- Ensure vendors are paid accurately and timely
- Set-up and monitor vendor credit card and the company wide purchase card programs
- Facilitate the process of establishing new vendors by completing credit applications and vendor set-up in the accounts payable system
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, including extensive accounts payable processing
- Knowledge of business processes and Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of CapEx processes and fixed asset management
- Familiarity and understanding of capital vs. expense classification
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable cycle, including month end closing procedures and impact of accounts payable on financial statements
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, with a focus on capital projects
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions and reconciling accounts
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables and work with complex formulas
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve invoice/payment issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, project management, and finance teams
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Proactive in resolving issues related to CapEx transactions and fixed asset management
- Knowledge of internal controls, procurement policies, and approval processes related to capital expenditures
- Strong time management skills to handle a high volume of transactions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members
