We’re looking for a Temporary Maintenance Assistant to support our Maintenance Director in keeping our beautiful community in top shape, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our residents. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their skills in maintenance!
Job Duties Include:
- Able to perform lifting and physical work such as pressure washing, ladder use, moving furniture and appliances.
- Help fix or replace things like doorknobs, locks, and hinges to keep doors working properly.
- Use various tools and equipment, like hand tools and power tools, to do your job.
- Follow instructions and directions, whether spoken or written.
- Learning how to solve problems by thinking things through and figuring out what needs to be fixed.
- Be polite and helpful when answering questions or handling complaints from residents in a timely manner.
- Assist with keeping the trash area clean by organizing, deodorizing, and power washing when needed.
- Help maintain the outdoor areas by picking up trash, blowing off sidewalks, cleaning, and painting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic technology knowledge (i.e. knowing how to use a smart phone & apps)
- Well organized with the ability to follow directions and take notes
- If you are new to working in maintenance but have a willingness to learn, We will provide all the necessary basic skills training in maintenance to be successful!
- Must be able to pass a background check and oral drug screen.

- Organize tasks and decide which ones to do first.
Typical physical and environmental considerations:
- Maintain ability to lift 75 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day, and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items
