The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. Job Description:
The Relationship Coordinator is critical to the satisfaction of our residents and to our mission of helping people Live Life to its Fullest! Your primary role is to welcome new Independent Living residents to the community, and provide guidance in adjusting to their new home. Your position works closely with all departments, as resident concerns may involve any service or lifestyle issues.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30am-6pm
Responsibilities:
- Welcome new Independent Living residents to The Springs and introduce them to other residents, serving as their point of contact during their transition period
- Provide orientation for all new IL residents and their families, on an ongoing basis
- Organize new resident meet and greets, and other events to engage residents and build community
- Provide coverage for the Concierge desk when needed
- Provide recommendations and information regarding supportive services to help the resident and family deal with the adjustment process related to moving in from greater community or transitioning within levels of service at The Springs
- Act as a liaison between staff and residents regarding conflict, complaints or challenges
- Advocate for residents by helping to coordinate resolution with the assistance of the department managers
- Ability to observe residents’ behavior and proactively communicate observations in a professional and intelligent manner
- Provide resources to residents and families regarding outside providers (In-Home Care, PT/OT, etc.) and ancillary services on an on-going basis
- Make visits (or coordinate another person) to residents who are ill/hospitalized on a regular basis
- Help facilitate/coordinate programs for resident advocacy by providing education or resources (assistance with voting, resources regarding – estate planning, advance directives, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Senior Housing Experience required
- Previous relationship sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of the medical profession/industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public
- Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Maintain current CPR and first aid certification
- Ability to have difficult conversations during a stressful time for relatives and loved ones
- Ability to see the big picture for building relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Salary:
The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Relationship Coordinator position, with an hourly wage of $24 - $29, depending on experience.
