The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. Job Description:
As a Community Relations Coordinator, you will work with the Director of Community Relations in showing both prospective residents and the greater community all that we offer. You will be a resource for people seeking independent living, assisted living and memory care housing options. You will provide friendly tours to potential residents, follow-up with inquiries, guide new residents through the move-in process, and assist with special events. You will also be required to spend time off-site connecting with partners and developing relationships in the community.
*Weekend availability is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the community in welcoming prospective residents, family members, referral sources and the public in a positive, helpful, and caring manner
- Answer telephone inquiries, meet and qualify prospective residents
- Conduct tours to demonstrate the services, lifestyle, convenience and benefits of the community
- Complete appropriate tracking cards, schedule tours, prepare and mail community brochures and do follow‑up contacts
- Attend business and community events where referral sources, prospective residents and their advisors are in attendance
- Influence prospective residents to reserve a specific apartment (close the sale) during each personal contact
- Maintain accurate records of reserved and occupied units to facilitate information exchange with other staff
- Communicate effectively
- Prepare and distribute marketing reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Understand the market area and distinguish our community from other living options
- Complete competitive analysis as requested but not less than every six months
- Understand and demonstrate community mission and philosophy
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters dealing with prospective or current resident information
- Ensure that the marketing area is decorated in a pleasing and professional manner, clean, safe, and orderly
- Deal creatively with the needs and desires of the prospective resident in a manner that protects their dignity and allows choice
- Accomplish sales and marketing goals
- Carry out the activities delineated in marketing plans in a timely and budget conscious manner
Qualifications:
- Proven senior living industry sales experience
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees and the general public
- Ability to build sincere relationships
- Ability to close sales opportunities
- Ability to assist with the development of marketing strategies to compete within the local market
- Knowledge of competitive market strengths and weaknesses and ability to sustain this information to maximize sales and occupancy
- Ability to relate positively with networking sources and provide solutions for their referrals
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
- Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Community Relations Coordinator position, with a salary range of $50K-60K depending on experience.
