ABOUT THE ROLE:
 
As our Life Enrichment Coordinator, you’ll design and oversee meaningful programming focused on The 8 Dimensions of Wellness—including physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, environmental, and financial well-being. The Life Enrichment Coordinator is essential to the satisfaction of our residents and to our mission of helping people Live Life to its Fullest. We hire people with vision, leadership, and a commitment to “doing it right.” Because our employees and residents deserve the very best, the right candidate for this leadership role must be nurturing with employees, residents, and families and be passionate to support, inspire and lead our team towards excellence every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and supervise the Life Enrichment and Transportation teams
  • Develop and implement monthly activity calendars for Independent and Assisted Living residents
  • Coordinate seasonal events, entertainment, outings, and educational opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments for community-wide experiences
  • Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and staff scheduling
  • Maintain communication about programs through print and digital tools
  • Communicate / coordinate entertainment and special activities with external vendors
  • Train and mentor new staff and volunteers
  • Help make the community beautiful with decorations for holidays and special events
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Professional event planning experience
  • Experience working with senior populations, recognizing their unique needs and opportunities for engagement
  • Experience designing and facilitating all aspects of a comprehensive activities and wellness program a plus
  • Strong planning and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Canva or basic design knowledge is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background and DMV check
